We're Running Out Of Oh My Gods!

Fri Oct 3, 2008, 6:24 PM
Us Government Buys Up 700 Billion Oh My Gods

Due to the reckless and irresponsible use of Oh My God there is now a world shortage. In America, the world's greatest user of Oh My Gods, the US Government have bought up all remaining stocks and will ration them in small, non-negotiable quantities to citizens who can prove responsible usage.

A disproportionate amount has been frittered away in reality tv shows along with the words 'journey', 'connection' and 'surreal'. Experts warn it is only a matter of time before these too come under state control.

Elsewhere in the world, Ireland has volunteered to keep everyone's Oh My Gods in its banks and pay generous interest in Bejaysus's. Eurocrats have shut Europe behind giant doors and says whatever it does the British can't join in. It is thought the Germans  are buying up vast quantities of the French Mon Dieu's to add to its unpopular stocks of Mein Gott's.

I think you're okay with oh là làs as long as you get them from a sustainable source. At least you don't have to get them imported where you are :)

They're not yet under threat, though with the creeping invasion of the alien species americanisation you never know. They're more versatile than OMGs because there are different species that occupy different etymological habitats, and they can all interbreed. They range from simple discreet Oh là làs that hide shyly in the sentence to the over loud and showy Oh là là là là là là! that tends to frequent parties and oases of alcohol :)

Reduced to taking notice of French TV commercials - how sad can life get...

I met a cab driver once who told me that he and his family would learn advertising jingles from the tv and then spend every Wednesday night singing them together! I was travelling in the back of his cab when he told me this and I did a 'silent scream' face pressed against the window!

I reckon it's his way of collecting passengers' horrified expressions on his secret surveillance camera so he and his family can laugh at the photos instead of singing jingles :D

Happy Halloween Melly! ^_^ Haha! Are you wearing a scary costume? We went to the movies so we missed the trick or treaters. We usually have a big bowl of candy ready for them to grab handfuls from.
