Training for the Olympics

Journal Entry: Thu May 1, 2008, 7:58 AM
No, not these Olympics. The Olympics in Britain in 2012

I'm on special standby for the Olympics 2012. I have to train in all the track and field events in case any of the British squad are ill or have an accident. But I've told them "There is no way I'm doing the pole vault!" and the officials have reluctantly agreed to let me off even though I hold the unofficial world record. It's unofficial because I used a ladder.

Anyway, just practicing the 100 metres now, I won't be long. :sprint:

you could set a record for the oldest olympian... except you'd not quite make it... since Oscar Swahn was 60 years old when he won his first Olympic gold medal.

Ah yes, I remember that one well. And the marathon for the incontinent! Haha!
Thanks, I'm going to suggest they put some benches around the track. That 10,000 metres is a heck of long way without a bit of a sit down. :)
